When it comes to Hanoikids, the very first word popping up in my mind is: Maturity. Hanoikids has given me the opportunity to adapt to many different roles with different responsibilities, which help me improve foreign languages as well as cultivate soft skills needed for my further studying and working. However, what I am most proud of is Hanoikids’ close family culture. Eddie has made many friends not only in Hanoi but also around the world. They are willing to support me through difficulties and together, we share a lot of memorable experiences, too. Hanoikids really boosted my confidence to pursue even the craziest dreams, and I am always proud to be a member of this dear family.

If I could use one word to describe Hanoikids, Cháy would choose the word “Dear” – a kind of close affection. When it comes to Hanoikids, the meaning of “dear” is even deeper. Under the blue-and-white roof, we go from complete strangers to become familiar; and from being familiar to “close as a family”. This is not just an ordinary club, it is also sisters and brothers, Gờ, tours and unforgettable guests. In return for my enthusiastic years experiencing the Kid life in the hot summer Hanoi, Hanoikids has given me tons of lessons, skills and meaningful relationships. Now that everytime I think about Hanoikids, I always feel refreshed and ready for a tour from TOD whenever possible! Hanoikids is a place with many memories of my student days. The most special and memorable moments in Hanoikids to me are the tours I had. When I go on tour with Hanoikids, I deeply understand the saying “Where you go is not as important as who you go with”. Each tour is a special experience for each Kid, from guests to shared stories, moments of food selection to the partner to accompany. If your goal is to find many interesting experiences in student life through meeting many people, Hanoikids tours are one of the best options.

I have gained so many things since Day 1 in Hanoikids, both visible and invisible. I can not tell which one is the most valuable thing to me but were I to choose, it would be my Public Relations Department. I have a whole new family surrounding me, always supporting me with my issues and sympathizing with my feelings. We have been through many difficulties since the pandemic outbreaks, and we felt exhausted sometimes. Fortunately, no one gave up even once. In the rough time of the tour-missing period, the only thing holding us back is the affection for others and the responsibility we have taken. Other than that, the experience in Hanoikids has boosted my critical thinking, both “hard” and “soft” skills such as design, planning, communication, situation-handling, etc. All of which makes me feel complete and ready for my further journey!

“First time” has been my destiny word throughout my journey at Hanoikids – the first organization I have been a part of since entering university. Until now, I can still recall the unforgettable feeling of being a tour guide for the first time, as if it just happened yesterday. When I work at the Internal Relations Department, Hanoikids 14th Birthday was my first attempt to organize such a huge event with more than 100 people. At that moment, for the first time ever, I fully comprehend the phrase “learn from your mistakes”. My teammates back then messaged me that “mistake” was never a forbidden word in our dictionary. Those things inspired and gave me the strength to devote in a significant position – The Head of IR Department. The role have given me lots of “first time”, to grow up, and more than that, to widely spread my enthusiasm and sincere respect for Hanoikids. Thanks to Hanoikids, I met precious people, gained valuable lessons, and had a priceless university time. Love you, my dear <3

Although I have been an official Kid for nearly half of the year, the number of Kids I have met offline can be counted on the fingers of one hand. It means that almost all the experience I have had with Hanoikids until now is just online. However, it is out of my imagination, it is too awesome, believe me! I still remember the first time I e-met my Gờ-mates, I was shy and felt very hard to connect with others. I could not imagine that as time passes by, my Gờ now are so close that we have many deep talks at night lasting for hours with lots of stories and laughs. In terms of my Department, despite the online work, Kids have still hugely supported me. I have a lovely mentor who wholeheartedly trained me even though she would fly abroad for a master’s program right after the training session.
