Vietnam’s Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat listed among Asia’s worst airports

In a move that faced fierce objection from Vietnamese aviation officials, the survey site The Guide to Sleeping in Airports has listed Vietnam’s two biggest international airports as one of the worst in Asia.
Ranked fifth on the list, Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport was frequently described by the survey's respondents as being hot, chaotic and not especially clean.

“In spite of its tropical location, air conditioning seems to perpetually be a problem - and the constant crowds exacerbate overheating,” the site concluded, adding that sweaty travelers are further frustrated by the poor signage and limited flight information displayed

Hanoi charges new relic admission fees

Authorities in Hanoi have announced new admission fees for the capital’s noted relics and scenic attractions for 2015.

The new rates, issued by the People’s Committee, have been applied since January 1.

9-day 2015 Lunar New Year holiday: Things you should know

It has just been officially announced by the Vietnamese Government that the 2015 Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday will begin on February 15 and end on February 23. State employees will have to work on Saturday (February 14) to compensate for the extra day off (Monday, February 16).

Previously in November 2014, Ministry of Labor submitted two options for the Tet holiday - 7 days or 9 days - to Vietnam Prime Minister N.T.Dung.
