On August 13rd 2012, Hanoikids had a special city tour with British teachers from BVIS school. The members in charge were Frankie, Sant, Amu and Gái Bản.
Despite the gloomy drizzle all day, the tour started as scheduled at 2pm in the Ly Thai To garden. After introducing ourselves, we took a closer look to the Ly Thai To’s statue which is to memorize the great contribution to the development of Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general. Afterwards, we strode around the Returned Sword Lake while kept chatting and witnessing the typical daily life of Hanoians in which is appraised the hidden beauty of the antique capital.
We then pressed on to the Old Quarter where all the teachers were eye-opening to discover the ancient charm of the so-called shopping paradise, which have been flourishing since roughly 1000 years ago.
The tour was finally brought to an end after we showed them around the French Quarter where contains the remains of the marvelous French architecture. We asked to film them expressing their feelings towards the tour to serve the upcoming Information Seminar’s purpose. All the feedbacks were great and absolutely encouraging.
Hopefully, Hanoikids might have such tour. It is different and great as well !
