On the foundations of the previous projects including “Pieces of Culture” and “The Journey 1750”, this year, the Culture Project is coming back. A totally new format of a cozy experience and knowledge sharing workshop series has been designed with a brand new name:
With this project, Hanoikids aim at accomplishing three missions:
(1) Promoting the beauty of Vietnam’s traditional customs and values among foreigners
(2) Instilling into young Vietnamese an enormous passion for national culture
(3) Offering young Vietnamese an active space to improve their English proficiency.
Culture Puzzle 1: Cold Food Festival (Tết Hàn thực) is intended to provide an intimate, interactive space for guests from other countries together with students in Hanoi to (1) get to know about the Cold Food Festival, (2) gain actual experiences of cooking bánh trôi, bánh chay, the two typical desserts of the festival by themselves and (3) participate in other fascinating activities.
Venue: Toong Coworking Space – No 8 Trang Thi Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
Time: 6pm Friday, April 8th, 2016.
– $1/student (valid student card required)
This fee covers the cost of necessary ingredients and tools to make bánh trôi, bánh chay as well as beverage for the participants.
Other donations will all go to the organization of other events of the club which benefit both its members and the community. Hanoikids gain no financial profits from all the activities it organizes.
