Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to open from December 5

According to the management board of Ho Chi Minh Complex, the daily tribute ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh, which allows visitors to enter the mausoleum, will be held again from December 5.



The official announcement was sent to agencies, organizations, people, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners after the temporary closure for periodic maintenance and renovation in 2014. Accordingly, the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum in Hanoi will be temporarily closed for maintenance from September 5 to December 5.

During this time visitors will only be able to view the mausoleum from the outside.

Visa fees for int’l tourists to fall sharply next month

From November 23, foreigners will pay US$25 for a single-entry visa and US$50 for a visa valid for three months or less when they visit Vietnam, according to a circular recently issued by the Ministry of Finance.

Dragon dance festival to celebrate Ha Noi’s liberation

Ha Noi will hold the fourth dragon dance festival this Saturday, as part of a series of cultural activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the city’s liberation on October 10.
The Ha Noi Dragon Dance Festival 2014 will take place from 1.30pm to 18.30pm at the King Ly Thai To Park , opposite to the Hoan Kiem Lake (Returned Sword Lake).
