On 17th June 2012, Hanoikids’ 6th birthday party was successfully held at beautiful and splendid Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, which marked the gorgeous 6-year-journey of our volunteer club. Had it not been for the considerate and thoughtful help of Mr. Sladen, the Marketing Director, Hanoikids would hardly have had such a great chance to hold the birthday party at such a marvelous place.
For most of us who hardly had a chance to visit one of the 5-star hotels in Hanoi, the party was such a great experience as we were all dazzled by the gorgeousness of the main hall and the wonderful view from the hotel’s windows. The party started at 7 pm. We embellished the room with balloons, ribbons, papers. Everyone wore a happy smile, dressing up elegantly in skirts and suits. The air was alive with chatters and laughter as we were all happy meeting up with our beloved Hanoikids members.
Enthusiasm even seethed by the hit performance “21 Guns” by Quang Cachot. However, the most talked-about should be the carefully-prepared, humorous and creative play, which was featured by a very “distinguished” music band named Street. The play reminded us of the hard days on the development journey of the club, with tons of difficulties encountered. With passion, sacrifice, and energy, eventually, Hanoikids managed to flourish and give us such golden opportunity to expose ourselves to foreign cultures and also an ideal environment for improving our English. We were deeply touched and we appreciated all those efforts of Hanoikids members for erecting such an amazing club, a family for all of us students in Hanoi.
Then went on with the birthday party was the certification-awarding ceremony to recognize the contribution of previous generation of Hanoikids by some accolade, and to some extent, to encourage us – the new members to burn ourselves up for the club. Afterwards, our ex-president brought out the birthday cake beautifully decorated with the logo of Hanoikids and six colorful candles sat in the middle of the cake. The speech delivered by Mr. Hong Anh (goes by RenZ), our president had brought us to the end of an unforgettable night.
We believe in the bright future of Hanoikids. We understand our mission to BE A LITTLE AMBASSADOR OF HANOI.
We would like to express our earnest appreciation and special thanks towards:
Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi for offering us such great venue,
Internal Relations Department for organizing us such awesome event,
IT Team and External Relations Department for the lovely uniforms.
